Professor Derek GwynneFORDOn 5th April 2024, peacefully at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Derek, aged 84 years, of Honley and formerly of Griffithstown, Pontypool. Dearly loved husband of the late Pamela, deeply loved dad of Nigel, Paul and Allison, proud and devoted grandad of Helen, Jacob, David, Jamie and Holly and former Professor Emeritus and founder of the Precision Engineering Centre (now Centre for Precision Technologies), University of Huddersfield.
Funeral service at St Lucius Church, Farnley Tyas on Wednesday 1st May at 1.30pm followed by a private committal. Family flowers only please. Donations if wished may be given to the Oesophageal Patients Association c/o Radcliffe Funeral Service, 16 Westgate, Honley, Holmfirth, HD9 6AA, online at radcliffefuneralservice.co.uk-obituaries or a donation box will be available at the service.
